President's Message


Diversity & Inclusion Group (DIG) Update


The Diversity & Inclusion Group (DIG) just finished their Fall 2021 Book Club reading of “Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance” by Angela Duckworth. The Book Club was highlighted with an in-person networking breakfast on 10/26 at The River in Wrightstown. The DIG recently sent a survey to its participants and is looking forward to planning a Spring Book Club and another in-person event in 2022.

Peer Group Update

It will be offered in a virtual only format. You have the opportunity to set the agenda including the following: pay increases, ideas on hiring, insurance premiums and broker experience.  Gain another prospective on your topics from other financial leaders.

Membership Update


Although the end of calendar year 2021 is approaching, we’ve already held 15 chapter events to date! In addition, there are still 15 chapter events planned in 2022 before the fiscal year end on June 30th. As previously communicated, the board of directors is committed to offering members more opportunities to connect, both virtual and in person, during fiscal year 2021-2022. Thus far, we’ve added two new members to the chapter: Bill Kocha and Liz Kallies. We’d like to extend a special note of thanks to members Nancy Schmidt and Ken Larsen respectively for their recruiting efforts.

The Federal Vaccine Mandates Are Finally Here - What Employers Need to Know

PLEASE NOTE: Following the issuance of this Legal Update the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals issued an Order to Stay the enforcement of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s November 5, 2021 Emergency Temporary Standard.

On November 4, 2021, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) and the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) issued regulations requiring covered employers to implement and enforce mandatory vaccination policies as a part of President Biden’s COVID-19 action plan. This Legal Update will provide a high-level overview of the new OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard (“ETS”) and the CMS interim final rule with comment period (“IFR”).

OSHA ETS - Applies to Private Sector Employers with 100 or More Employees
Covered employers must implement and enforce a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy under which employees may either become vaccinated, or undergo regular COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering. Exceptions for medical and sincerely held religious beliefs continue to apply.
